CFC PAKISTAN

Health Care Initiatives

CFC places a major emphasis on preventative and primary healthcare, as well as health education and awareness. Yet, beginning in 2005, the organization’s focus shifted to specialised areas such as recognising needs and creating and copying pilot projects. CFC recognises the scarcity of resources in Pakistan’s social assistance sector and works in partnership with other organisations to complete each project. Successful pilot programmes serve as templates for replication in order to accomplish objectives and foster long-term development for children in at-risk communities.

In December 2007, the CFC produced models for a one month disaster relief model, a 6-month Medical Relief Camps Project, and Healthcare Intervention in urban katchi abadis (slums) in accordance with this purpose. Through campaigning, the organization also seeks to get active in legislative and regulatory issues by helping as an advocate of practical solutions and unique alternatives to current state practises. CFC launched its lobbying efforts at Mohammadi Colony in December 2007 with the Sustainable settlement Driven Development Pilot Project, pushing for land leasing for the members of this settlement.
